Connecting Ag Professionals for Secure Experience Sharing
Ag professionals are connecting in new ways and it’s changing how they communicate. Conversations aren’t just voice-to-voice now, they’re increasingly taking place online since rural internet access has improved, social media usage is growing, and mobile technology is being adopted quickly. Yet much of the social media focus has been targeted toward consumer interaction and many ag websites with discussion forums are open to the public. To address the business needs of their clients, Beck Ag identified the opportunity for a secure online community for ag professionals to connect about issues that are important to them and to feel confident that they are having conversations with others who are just as passionate about agriculture as they are.
Join the Mid-South NAMA group to learn more from Margaret Oldham, Director of Innovation and Opportunity at Beck Ag, Inc. Margaret will share an overview of the market research and social media landscape in agriculture that helped shape the development of BeckAgConnects, a members-only online community that was created to connect ag companies with their customers and end users. In an industry known for long hours, unpredictable working conditions, and few opportunities for professional development, BeckAgConnects offers ag professionals the opportunity to access subject matter experts, gain information tailored to agriculture, discuss their experiences and seek out potential new solutions.
BeckAgConnects.com, which now has more than 15,800 members, serves as a gathering place to have on-line conversations about agriculture – but in a secure environment where ag professionals can trust that they are among people who care about agriculture just as much as they do. If you’re not already a member, take time to join before our meeting by going to www.beckagconnects.com and “join now.”
